Students from the northern, western, southern and eastern suburbs and the Adelaide Hills attend Pembroke as day students, with many accessing our network of bus routes. Our Boarding Houses cater to students from a diverse range of Australian regional and international locations.
Pembroke School is comprised of two main campuses: the King's Campus (Middle School) and Girton Campus (Junior School and Senior School). Both campuses have superb grounds which are maintained to the highest standard. They are located within 5 minutes’ walk of each other and are connected by Kensington Oval which Pembroke leases and maintains as part of our vibrant Sports Program.
Across the road from King’s Campus, Pembroke owns the Haslam Oval Precinct, a stunning parcel of land earmarked for exciting future development to further elevate our Sports Program and community engagement. Pembroke also has sporting facilities located in the city, on the Torrens River and in the southern Park Lands.
The School has a strong commitment to providing learning environments that are inspiring and state-of-the-art. One of our newest major developments is the spectacular Shipsters Road building for Middle School Art, Science, Design and Digital Technology.
Another recent development is the transformation of the John Moody Centre which features the new John Moody Dining Room for boarders and other guests, the King’s Café for Middle School students and staff, and Yellow Submarine Too – a social enterprise café open to the public.
One element that truly sets Pembroke apart is Old Watulunga, our stunning Environmental Education Centre on the Finniss River just over an hour’s drive south of the School. This incredible 17-hectare property is a key learning habitat for many of our Middle School students who embark on signature camps where they develop skills in kayaking, sailing, bushwalking, rock climbing and orienteering, making the most of the great outdoors while building foundations for personal growth and development.
Pembroke remains committed to ongoing campus renewal with a recent suite of works including the reopening of Turner House - our second boarding facility - as well as dynamic classroom upgrades and revitalised play and recreation spaces across the Sub-Schools.
