Future-focused in our approach, we aim to assist students in developing their career awareness and personal career management skills, aligning our programs to contemporary career development practices and philosophy.
Qualified career advisers are available to support students, meeting individually with students in Years 10, 11 and 12. We have a Careers Office located on both the Middle and Senior School campuses. Students and parents can also access resources via a dedicated careers website.
Our students can connect with industry leaders through a range of workshops and events. All students participate in the Workplace Learning Program in Year 11, developing an appreciation of workplace expectations and engaging in an industry work placement of their choice.
The Senior School Careers Breakfast brings together over 230 members of our School community each year, with over 70 old scholars supporting and mentoring our students, representing a wide range of study and career pathways.
Representatives from Australia’s leading tertiary institutions regularly visit Pembroke School, to meet with our students. We also offer workshops and extra support for students applying for tertiary study interstate and overseas.
Old scholars are pivotal to Future Pathways in providing advice and guidance about their personal career journeys to our current students. We recently welcomed back old scholar Natasha Sukacz who graduated in 2021 and is now working for SA Police. Watch the video to hear her story from Pembroke to policing and beyond.
